Hey everyone!! While at school today, I tried to download one of the documents I had posted as a freebie on my blog. I noticed, however that it appears as a picture instead of a PDF when brought up in google. I saved it in my documents as a PDF and then uploaded in to google. I'm not sure what step I missed. Can someone please reply to this post explaining how you are saving your PDF's to google and uploading to your blog.

  1. Hi! I am not sure if this is what you need, but I will explain how I do it. I upload the PDF to Google Docs. Then I open the PDF in Google Docs. At the top, you will see "Private only to me." Click on that. Change it to Public on the web - Anyone on the Internet can find and view. After you change it, there will be a link. Copy the link. Then in your blog, click on your photo (or word), then click on "link" at the top. Paste the link. Now when people click on the photo it will take them to Google Docs. I hope that helps.

  2. Thanks for your help!! That actually wasn;t the problem, but as I kept playing with it, I discovered where the problem was. MY google setting were to save PDF's as images, I think. So my links were taking ppl to an image. I corrected my setings and I *think* they should print now. Thanks for offereing your help.

  3. I was going to say check your settings on your uploads but you got it :)

Giving Credit

"Teachers make great thieves"...ever heard that quote? It is a very true! Most of our great ideas are "stolen" from someone else. Not all ideas on this blog are mine. I try to give credit where credit is due. However, if you find that an idea should have been given credit but wasn't, please let me know.
