Give Away and Pinterest Buttons for Blogs!!!!

GIVEAWAY------Sister Teachers is having a giveaway to celebrate 50 followers. They are giving away a custom blog button. This is great for people like me who are new bloggers!

PIN IT BLOG LINK-- Live Laugh Love has direction to add a "pin it" button to the bottom of each of your posts. I had trouble with mine, but still working on it.  (Please click HERE for an update  since I posted this)

FOLLOW ME ON PINTEREST BUTTON-----I DID get this to work....sooooo excited!!!!! I figured out how to add a "Follow Me on Pinterest" button to your side bar. This is HUGE that I figured it out as I am technology impaired!! You do it much like the way you add a "pin it" link to your post, so I have copy and pasted part of the directions from
Live Laugh Love blog linked above.

Go to you Pinterest boards, you want to go under the "About" tab (upper right corner) and click on help.

On the left click on "Goodies" and here you will find how to add the "Follow Button for Websites". Just choose the button you want to display and copy the HTML code.

Ok, now to the blog part!
1.Go to your blog's dashboard and then click on the "design" tab
2. Click on "add a gadget" on your side bar
3.Click HTML/Java Script
4. Paste the pinterest HTML code in content box
5. Save!!!
This should add a FOLLOW ME ON PINTEREST button!!!!

So. now you have a Follow Me button on your blog AND a Pin It button on each post.

  1. Thanks for the shout out. I am your newest follower! For the pin it button in your post...I would move it around by a picture that's in your post. Does that make sense? That way they have something to pin. I am not sure that you can pin a blog post, but I haven't tried it. I am going to now! :-)

  2. Yes, I see now. I didn't realize that. I will edit my post to say that. I also added how to add a "follow me" button to the sidebar, using some of your wording. I gave you credit. Hope that's ok.

Giving Credit

"Teachers make great thieves"...ever heard that quote? It is a very true! Most of our great ideas are "stolen" from someone else. Not all ideas on this blog are mine. I try to give credit where credit is due. However, if you find that an idea should have been given credit but wasn't, please let me know.
